Hey, where yould you get a replacement fan for a hp pavilion laptop?

Mine seems to have packed in. can't hear anything and core temp is in the 70's so want to make sure my laptop doesn't cook itself.

ebay would be your best bet but first update your bios as that should make your fan run all of the time and see if that helps.

I pulled it apart and managed to get some of the crap out of the fan and its running again, core is at about 50-60 C but better than it was and the fan is actually moving again.
I couldn't figure out how to get the motherboard off the bottom of the case so couldnt actually get the fan open to clear it out properly but i might let me friend who repairs lappies for a living have a go at it.

Only reaosn im posting this is ebcause someone elses laptop fan might go like mine did and they might think it's a lost cause, it might just be that it's clogged and thats jamming the fan. try cleaning it out and see if it helps, i pulled a fair ammount of lint out of my yoke.
