I am currently using one of the broadband to go majiggers but it is in no uncertain terms ****e and am looking to upgrade to wireless, i only use the internet for emails, facebook etc and the odd download but anytime i ask the companies for a simple explanation they use big words and i get confused. Any advice on the best value deal would be much obliged

Upgrading to wireless doesn't mean better service your still using same broadband , just the way to connect to it is different . You use radio-waves instead of of a cable. But do want to upgrade you need find out :

    1. Who is your broadband provider?

    2. Is the computer able to use wireless, will it need by a wireless card .

Not so wireless broadband is broadband supplied by wireless as opposed to DSL or Cable. What you are referring to is using wireless as part of a local area network.

The Op seems to be using a 3G dongle, which they are finding to be less than useless, and want to upgrade.

All the alternatives, DSL, Cable, Wireless and Satellite, are delivered to a fixed location, e.g. a house or apartment. If the op wants broadband on the go then as far as I am aware there is no alternative to 3G.
