    Im trying to get rid of a car ASAP and looking to explore any/all avaialble options. Has anyone ever sold/bought a car on ebay and does it cost much to list? Is there a good chance that it will sell?

    cheers. So if I was to sell at say €2,250 with a few pictures, nothing fancy, how much would that cost me (after the ebay charges)

    I was looking at the fees pages, but they never had anything about the cars section.

    After your above post, i found this link which sets it out clearer.

    Seems Im going to pay €9 insertion fee, €6 reserve fee, Pictures seem free, and then a €22.50 final value fee if it sells. Thats less than a month on carzone will cost! I may try this!

    Edit - theres also paypal fees. They seem to work out at a whopping €7 to recieve payment of a €200 deposit

    Update to this - the rover sold on ebay today.

    I had stated in the listing that the winning bidder pays a 300 euro deposit via paypal before coming, and then the remainder with cash (verified at bank) or bank draft (ditto) on the day. Is that the usual way of doing this?

    And car sellers put this kind of sh*te in their ads, thinking it makes them better:

    honda civic ef9 eg6 ep3 integra dc2 dc5 type r crx sir vti k20 s2000 accord silvia s13 s14 s15 180sx supra skyline r32 r33 r34 rx7 rx8 gsr lancer evo wrx sti a4 tdi altezza is200 glanza gt coupe levin trueno ae86 laurel cresta mark2 twincam gti celica mr2 cyborg mivec vzr rwd turbo

    This is in an ad for a Toyota Chaser, ffs!

    Donedeal might have taken over from Buy & Sell, but for cars it's *very* annoying and badly done.

    aye, ever selling anything above the 5g, ya just tell ebay ya didnt want to sell due to the buyers rating or feedback. You get paid cash and they don't get their cut, they never look into it so ya always get yar final price

    There are tonnes of these sites popping up every so often, i personally dont waste my time advertising with likes of these as the hit rate is very poor. Crazy in one way as people would rather spend money to advertise than do it for nothing lol

    Keep it to €100 to minimise paypal's cut. Otherwise fine.

    Too late!

    :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: @paypal

    300 euro received, of which I get to keep 289.50.

    Ridiculous. 11 euro for nothing ffs
