    Hi,

Am going to get the outside of my house painted and just wondering if anyone has painted theirs lately and what colour? I am looking at the Dulux Weathershield colours and one in particular called 'Innisfail'. Was going to do that on walls and then white around windows (because window frames are white). Anyone got any colour recommendations?

I did my mothers house over the weekend. I had to power wash off the previous layer of paint which took me seven hours the previous weekend..

Used weathershield. No danger of showers at the weekend but it dried pretty fast. I think the colour was summer breeze or something..

Really any of the soft colours will look ok. Ours is Buttermilk, you have to look at the colour of any bricks etc around the house but other than that its just down to personal preference.

There are three terraced houses near us, one is a soft green, the next one white and the end one a yellowy gold. They look very nice, but I have wondered if the wives has copped on to what has happened.

'I think I will give the outside a coat of paint dear'.
Wife 'yes, good idea', (thinks wow, things are looking up!)
    H. I got some nice green, it was on sale in the paint shop.
    W. yes, that will be ok (keep him out of mischief for a bit)

Much later: thats a coincidence dear, have you noticed what colours the neighbours have painted their houses?

Does Innisfail come out nice or is kinda dull? Id like a nice cream colour, not yellow or pinky, a nice biscuit colour. Anyone have any recommendations?

We went with WeatherShield Gardenia. Very happy with the result.
Had buttermilk on a section initially but the boss thought it looked a bit yellowey.

    Some photos here somewhere...
