In Killarney for weekend - will USB DTT tuner work?

A gang of us are doing the Ring of Kerry cycle this weekend so are renting an apartment in Killarney for the weekend. We'd like to see the Germany v Argentina game but not all the lads will make it home by then.

So, I'll bring my laptop and USB DTT tuner in the hope that I can get a signal and then use Windows Media Center to record the match so we can start watching it on timeshift as soon as we get back.

Is there a DTT signal in Killarney and will the mini 6inch antennae that comes with my Hauppage USB DTT tuner be good enough to pick it up in an apartment? Not expecting any guarantees, just wondering if it sounds like a runner or no chance. Thanks.

    Mullaghanish UHF Ch21 - 474MHz - 474000kHz

Try at an east facing window.

If the antenna is a rod, try it horizontal (not vertical) facing east

Thanks for that, will give it a shot.

Only broadband I'll have is my HTC HD2 phone which can act as a wifi router - works ok but really doubt the speeds would be up to more than just web browsing, not video streaming.
