Hotel Recommendation Please

I'm looking for some recommendations. My wife is 36 months preganant and we have a 3 year old. We were thinking of heading off (JUST THE 2 OF US) to a hotel on Saturday night to get a very short break before the new baby comes.

Can anybody recommend a nice, quiet hotel with good food or with decent restaurants nearby. A walk in the gardens or by the sea or similar and reading some papers would be the plan for saturday and sunday afternoons.

Nice meal and a couple of drinks for saturday night.

Needs to be within 1 hour of Dublin too.

    Thanks

Lovely hotel, with nice walks around it & a lake at the back.

Your wife is going to need some pampering and the perfect place for that is either the Ritz Carlton in Powerscourt or Carton House - They both have reasonable deals on their websites for a good night away!

I could definitely recommend Ghan House in Carlingford - quite oldy worldy, but really lovely, and welcoming...food pretty good too. Take one of the old rooms in the house though, rather than the new extension
