get a small DTT tuner and place near sky box, a Sigmatek will have HDMI out and scart, so you can have aerial in to dtt, aerial out to sky box, then rf from sky box to tv. simples.

or wait a bit longer and official boxes will start appearing for dtt

my tv has dtt tuner, its the signal from aerial to tv via sky box...

The same aerial should be in use for analog tv as well as DTT so you should be able to tune in TV to DTT but does the TV have an MPEG4 decoder? The sky box has an aerial in socket at back and RF1 and RF2 out, a lead from RF 1 to tv will carry analogue and DTT signals.

ps if you have 2 leads then you will need a diplexor.

tv can tune in dtt perfect when feed is direct from aerial. when aerial is passed through sky+ box tv will only tune in analogue. sky box is in attic not near the tv.

It could be that the SKY box output RF feed is interfering with the reception of the UHF channel that is carrying the DTT multiplex. Can you say which transmitter you're receiving DTT from and check in the Services menu which UHF channel the SKY box is outputting its signal on?

good thinking, the default with sky is usually 68 and with the SKY HD box its a bugger to get to secret menu but do this 'Services' button, then 0 0 1 followed by 'Select' then change RF number to a lower one that wont clash.

I have my aerial coming into my sky box and back out through RF1 to a distribution box to all other tv's. I had the same issue on the one other TV with MPEG4 tuner and realised that the signal was actually to strong and as a result any interference as was also amplified. I got an Attenuator and adjusted the signal down slightly and it actually worked.

Now have DTT on main tv but also on a feed from the sky box into a second TV. Hope this helps. Im living in Stamullen and getting DTT from Clarmont Cairn.

changed the rf to 22 and did a rescan, and everything is perfect now.
    many thanks..
now have sky+ sd, analogue, dtt, fta and freesat.

    happy days...
