Im a bit confused as to what grades give you a 2.1 degree..

If i passed all my modules in first year with an average of say 50% and failed a few modules in second year..is there a chance if i do really well in 3rd year that i can make up the marks and get a 2.1 ...

I have finally copped on and am just hoping my silly ways in second year hasnt left me with a 2.3 or 2.2 degree...

Can anyone tell me about 2.1 2.2 2.3 grades?

    Thanks :)

No such thing as a 2.3....it can be either a first ,2.1, 2.2 third, pass or a fail

as far as i know most degrees only count your 3rd year results

Well, my understanding is that your second year counts as well - IF those results are better than your third year result. In that case, your second year accounts for 30 % of the grade.

A 2:1 degree is awarded if your final year average grade is between 60-69.

The results from the previous year can count as 30% but only if it increases your overall grade.
