Hey I just started my Post-Grad application to DCU, on the first page of the app in the section where you enter the 'Course Code' under it it asks you to write a 'personal statement'....

Just wondering how much detail should I go into?

or would a ' I wish to apply for the the post-grad in **** as I wish to pursue a career in this area etc etc' do?

    Thanks

The first thing you should do when applying for postgrad is to speak to a member of staff at the school you're applying to. Be upfront about it and ask what they expect to see in an application. In some cases you will be told not to bother with the personal statement at all. Best of luck with your application.
