Our 1st year anniversary is looming and I've no idea what to get her:( The first anniversary is supposed to consist of a "paper" present if I'm correct.

Anyone any ideas or suggestions what I should get?!

We're going to be on holiday at the time.

I was thinking along the lines of a card....:D

Well in that case if you're already on holiday - then a card with tickets for another holiday would be very appropriate :D

he he, however if you can't afford another holiday - how about a couples spa treatment for the two of you when you're on holiday like a massage or something? Have a voucher made up by the spa - that's paper!

Photography wise I absolutely love trash the dress shoots so I arranged one for our first wedding anniversary, obviously the end result is a picture printed on paper so it fit in with the paper anniversary theme and was very very memorable, we had a great time. I'm looking forward to doing one myself this week where I'm pushing the boundaries a bit, the result really depends on how far you want to go, I mean if you dont want to get your dress dirty you have less scope but if you are willing to go all out you can have some amazing pictures.

That's an excellant idea smelltheglove - I think we have a winner! (a photograph, not necessarily trashing her wedding dress!)

You could have a portrait painted or sketched. Either one of her or one of the two of you on your wedding day. There are lots of artists who can do this from a photo.

    Take a look here:

Most of them seem a bit silly but you may get some ideas.
