There's a sky connection in the apartment i'm renting and i've got a Samsung TV with a freesat tuner. I have no sky box. I've been through loads of threads and not been able to find an answer to the following question.

Exactly what cable do I need to connect the sky connection on the wall directly to the Samsung LCD?

    Thanks a million in advance!

What does the connector for the sky point in your apartment look like? You probably need a lead like this ebay link

Samsung dont make Freesat televisions. Its probably a Freeview capable television - which is a different technology and no good for connecting to a satellite dish.

You're actually right there. Sorry just confused by the fact that i'm picking up some sort of rte digital which i didnt realise was available.

So is my best option just to buy a freesat box? Will i receive the bulk of the freesat channels from the communal sky dish?

If the communal sky dish works fine, then you should get all the freesat channels with such a box.
