    Hi all,

I'm a Computer Science graduate currently completing my master's thesis and I need a little bit of work for the summer.

I'm hoping for a start-up because want to start my own some day and any chance to learn something along the way is a huge bonus. That said, any bit challenging work is more than welcome.

I'm living in Cork and it would have to be within 10 miles of Mahon if I am required to be physically within an office.

(P.S. I hope this is ok with the mods)

You didnt mention whether your were looking for a work experience placement or paid work? You might have more luck placing your post in the Cork regional area

It would have to be paid albeit not necessarily very much.

Send me a PM with your details, experience and some stuff you worked on - I know of a place that might suit that was looking for someone last month so can email them your details. They are a startup with an interesting product.

    PMing you now TheWaterBoy.

I should probably give some details on my experience here anyway. I have little commercial development experience but am proficient and "ready to go" in Java, DHTML, PHP, SQL. Anything using these or similar technologies would be best as I'd be able to begin work as soon as possible.

i think this is a great idea and wish i had this idea when i was in college. Could of posted on the forums and got a placement.

I have a full time job now but i am always interested in working with startup on a part time basis.

my profession is java working in the UNIX environment. I am always interested in working with a startup with an interesting product. i like the 24/7 buzz of working which my multi national company does not like.

Can not work all the time because of some European law.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

Maybe a sticky on people looking to work with startups or for startups looking for people could be a useful addition to the forum.
