MBS Marketing

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone on here has done the MBS in Marketing?

I'm starting it this year (results providing!). I've just finished my undergrad in Communications.

Was just wondering what people think of the course? Do you think it will be really hard for someone coming from a non-business discipline? I've been told the course is quite heavy in terms of assignments, but was just wondering if people who have done the course think the fact that my undergrad is in Communications is a significant disadvantage (or if anyone has gone from a media course to Marketing and has any tips?)
I've done modules in Public Relations and Advertising before.

Any thought on the course and the transfer would be greatly appreciated!

Goodgodholmes, I have been following your threads for over 2 years when my daughter was thinking of doing Comm. She has now completed her 2nd year. Your advice has always been very useful and I have taken on board a lot of what you said. This is real info and it is what students need. Congrats on your results and well done on your 'extra curr' module (this is what makes the difference on a CV).

I've done the MMK in DCU. Sounds like you won the cross scholarship for marketing/journalists undergrads (can't remember who backs it). Anyway to answer your question you should have no problem. The girl who won the scholarship the year I did the MMK topped the class, once your able to apply yourself you'll do fine.

Nuttlys, I am indeed on the scholarship so it's good to know that the transfer is manageable

My degree results have processed and my conditional offer has now become an official acceptance, so it's all go from here!
