October holiday ideas please

    Hi all,
    Myself and my b/f are going on hols in October and can't figure out where to go. Had decided on Thailand and was about to book and everything but then discovered that Oct is rainy season so not the best time to be going. Then we looked at Cancun, Mexico but the weather isn't the best there for Oct either....grrr!

    So now we need to find someplace else..any suggestions????

    It'll be for 2-3 weeks from early Oct. Ideally we want someplace with good weather, beaches etc but want to see the sights and experience the culture of where we are too. Also not over the top expensive, maybe €800-1000 pp for flights and accommodation.
    Any ideas would be really appreciated.

    Egypt - Sharm El Sheikh with some trips to Cairo Pyramids/Petra. You'll get 2 weeks all inclusive in your budget in a nice hotel and there's plenty to do and see and the water/snorkelling/diving is out of this world

    Id suggest to book a cheap flight with Ryanair or Aerlingus. Ryanair have a sale on at the moment for flights in Sept/Oct. Maybe the Canaries.

    Then have a look at hotels seperate. You will get the most for your budget and may even get a 5 star resort at this time of the year.
