    Hi there,

I havent been out and about in the pubs for a couple of months now and have a few nights out planned in the next few weeks. I have purchased two lovely maxi dresses and I was thinking of wearing one of them one of the nights,my question would it look a bit much? Are people wearing them out to pubs/clubs? I was gonna dress it up with nice jewellery and maybe a nice demin jacket from river island i seen..Any opinions are greatly appreciated. thanks :)

Have seen lots of people wearing them out :) just make sure its not dragging off the floor cause that could make for a fairly disgusting dress by the end of the night! :)

I saw a girl wearing a Maxi dress in the pub a couple of months ago. Mistakenly asked who she was taking to her debs. :P You could get away with it on a Sunday afternoon in a beer garden or at a bbq but for clubs, I reckon they look silly.

    Yeah I agree.

Plus, they'd be a pain in the ass to dance in. :)

    They're grand for a night out in a pub/club.

When I was out recently a fair few people had some gorgeous maxi dresses.

But as said by another poster, make sure your dress doesn't drag on the ground cos it will get filthy.

I intend on wearing it clubbing in Cork this weekend too and its defo not something I would wear to a debs!!!!

Oh I think maxi-dresses are divine! They're so sexy and feminine. Hard to find one with ample bust room if you've big boobs though, unless you go a size or more bigger and get it taken in. Did that recently myself, although they're floaty anyway so there isn't too much taking in required.

I love em, but there are some seriously manky ones out there too. I wear long dresses all the time, they are so feminine and elegant but I tend to buy them a size or two too small and then they can be incredibly slimming especially when they're a halter neck. It doesn't matter to me but guys seem to love them too, I've actually been complimented on them by random blokes when I've worn them out (and no my boobs weren't hanging out of them) so that has to be a good thing. I can manage to dance in anything barr high heels.

That issue was solved by a girl in my local nightclub by tucking them into her knickers. The classiness.
But yeah, imo it'd be lovely for a beer garden / pub evening. Wouldn't wear it in a nightclub though, but that's just me :)

I saw a girl do that in my local night club recently :D What a classy bird :D

Yeah I agree they would be lovely on a Sunday heading to the beer garden but if its in any way long it would be destroyed on a Saturday night in a club!
