Exchange rates will change on a daily basis, and even more than once a day. That could be €153 now, or it could go down depending on how the rates change.

The rates published on sites like xe are not the rate you get from banks, credit cards, Paypal, etc. They are international market rates, and not for the individual. You need ot add 2 or 3% to it to get what you will pay.

I'd also say there's no way you're getting a genuine fault free iPhone, delivered from the US, for $177.50. It's some sort of scam, or dodgy.

Yes, the iphone sounds dodgy, post a link to the ebay auction.

    Heres the link.

its 171.50$ plus postage 6$. Thats without the iphone box.

The seller has 100% feedback rate, which is good enough for me.

Seller doesn't say he'll post that outside the US, also $6 is the postage within the US. It will more than likely be a lot more than that, if he will post it to you at all. Request recorded priority airmail with appropriate insurance cover, and be prepared to pay $20-40 for it. VAT on receiving is pretty much a guarantee.

The seller has been mostly inactive since 2009 too.

i spoke sent him an email, and he said hes using airmail or sumthing else.
    im not to sure.
and im expecting a huge import tax.
and if it doesnt arrive i'll be covered by paypal.

For $6, you will get the slowest postal service known to man. Expect delivery in 6-8 weeks, with no insurance and no tracking. Don't expect Paypal to definitely cover you either. There are a million ways to scam a buyer using Paypal, even if the buyer is supposedly protected.

in that case i will change the postal options.
i would try and use USPS priority mail.

Once you know how much the total cost is, convert using xe.com, and add 5% to cover the real rate and any fluctuation. You'll then know how much money you're going to need in Paypal. It may be better to buy a new 3V voucher to cover the whole lot.
