Hi,

I'm planning a two week trip to the Basque Country and was wondering if anyone has stayed in the countryside, and if so, where and why?

I intend to do the coastal trip first (Bilbao to the Pyreneese) then head inland.

I see that the former has been well covered here so no need for further information, thanks.

What I would be really interested in is recommendations on the latter, ie countryside/inland.
I'll probably visit Pamplona, Estalla and Vitoria but would like a small rural town worth staying in for a few days.
