Anyone else applied for Customer Solutions Agent jobs in eBay /PayPal.

Hi Folks,

I applied for 4 Customer Solutions Agent positions in Ebay back in April of this year as they were recruiting at the time.

I received 4 emails back confirming that:
We have successfully received your submission to the following position(s):

Followed by:

A system-generated candidate reference number has been created for you and may be useful to keep for your records. Your candidate reference number is: @~#!*&%?€

And that was that!?!

I applied to Ebay twice before in the past 4 years, and both times i got a mail saying I was not successful this time around.

I'm sure they have been bombarded with applications, but I'm just wondering if anyone else that applied got either:

a) Thanks but no thanks.

b) Thanks, we would like to call you for an interview .....

Any info is much appreciated.:)

I applied, earlier this year, got nothing back. Same goes for a few people I know.

Applied to PayPal 5 weeks back via jobs.ie - no acknowledgement of or response to my application. Sign of the times I suppose!

Bad sign o' the times if they don't even send a generated "thanks but no thanks".

I thought I had enough experience to even warrant a interview .

Obviously not.

....I don't suppose anyone has access to a number for main reception in eBay.

I can't find anything online.....

I know it's well cheeky, but even to find out if the recruitment phase is finished etc etc

I have an interview on Wednesday for customer solutions agent, I didn't have a telephone interview though. I submitted an application and got an email asking me to complete an online assessment. Got a call today to say I passed and could I come on Wednesday, they we're suppose to email me details of time, location etc but I haven't got it yet.

What was the interview like?

Much like customer service scenarious like what you will do if you get an angry customers,what is the best thing youdid in your previous job?
Team conflicts, what qualities are required for this job etc.,
I had no luck:(when they mentioned dayshift I thought it will be a day but all twists cannot manage with a small child
