Just against the terms of use.

In theory CCP could sue you for violating the user agreement but that would be a civil matter rather than criminal. And they'd never do that. And if they did nothing would come of it.

Also your poll question is completely retarded.

It's rather simple really. The following...
Is selling an eve online account or character for real life money

...makes no sense. It's not even a question.

I thought ebay changed their rules a while back so you couldnt sell digital goods like that

Way to be pedantic...The idea was that the title reads as:

    "
Is selling an eve online character for money

    A) Illegal
    B) against the terms of use
    "

Meaning that the question mark should come after the options, as there are only two options I thought it made more sense than you guys thought.

I asked this guy what he thought and according to him you're criminal scum and you've broken the law

That's why all the ads are for "Cheap 22c Bic biro (blue) + FREE 26 MILLION SP EVE ONLINE CHARACTER ***TITAN READY***"

It's not illegal but carries a good chance of getting the account banned and if the buyer gets charges reversed you'll be screwed.

more likely the subject in question isnt allowed under the forum rules. I.e. selling game stuff for cash.

One thing the t&c allow is selling a character for isk.
