Heading to Galway for a few days with the better half and our 8 year old boy. We are staying in a hotel but he is mad to go camping, we have a 4 man tent and are looking for a place to go that is family friendly and safe. Ideally nothing out in the backs of beyonds :)

    Any suggestions ?

I couldnt recommend Fanore campsite highly enough.
Really safe...sprawled out campsite across dunes, very safe for your little fella as its well in off the road, with direct access to the beach.
His rates too are very good.(dont know how much for a tent but its 16 for a camper for a night so id say about a tenner)
    Marty.

Fanore's excellent. Plenty to explore in the dunes and safe if the wee fella wants to cycle about the place. Could even bring the dog. Lots of good walks nearby in the hills as well that aren't too difficult. All you need is the weather..
