    Have to agree with Vincent on this one.. They are a pathetic bunch in Dáil Eireann.. this bill is only important cos the greens are trying to get something (anything) significant put through before an election is called in the hope that they will maintain some sort of base of support.. independents cynically distancing themselves from the party to improve their own polling.... Mattie McGrath doing similar... The whip system is undemocratic, on a matter of morals you should not be directed by the party whip.. make me sick the whole fkn lot of them.

    Same as England football team they should have three lions on the shirt... all of them being the cowardly one from The Wizard Of Oz

    Either your cynically pushing through a bill or you cynically distancing yourself from the bill. I think the lobbyist had allot to do with make this into an issue that it isn't, indeed the media are also to blame. As the Minister said there are more important issues that should be discussed in the Dáil. This bill could have been dealt with in a shorter time that it actually was. It is a pity that back bencher and the opposition don't do as good a job on other more important issues.
