Looking at trying to get away in mid July to Croatia for 2-3 wks, will be traveling on my own and thinking of flying into dubrovnik and doing a bit of the island hopping thing for a bit.

Not too sure what to do from here, any ideas with regards a final destination, obviously don't want double back on myself and fly out of dubrovnik. Was looking into heading into Slovenia and maybe flying out of Bratislava, could I venture a bit further within the three week period????

    Any advice/tips grateful

Hard to say without knowing what you want to do.

Personally I would definitely head to Montenegro. It's cheaper, prettier and has a fraction of the tourists. But if you like lively nightlife then maybe Croatia is better for you. It's not cheap though.
But I'm guessing money isn't an issue if you're planning on flying into Dubrovnik. That's expensive to get to from IReland. Zadar would be half that but that'd be on Ryanair.

One suggested itinerary would be Zadar - Split - Dubrovnik taking in some islands along the way. Down to Bay of Kotor in Montenegro - over into Bosnia to see some sights there (there was recently a bomb there but in general it's fine). Then over into Zagreb to check that out and back down to Zadar to fly home.

Loads of other ways but that's how I'd do it.
