Private Message Scam?

    Hi all,

    I just noticed i have a private message from somebody not on my friends list saying something along the lines of' ive glitched this message so when you send it to 50 people it will give you all MW2 titles and emblems, Happy Sending'.....

    Is this a scam or a virus? anybody else got this before?

    Got the same message myself but don't worry it's only people trying to send chainmail/spam.

    There's a few different ones.

    "Sony is going to start using your ps3 as a mind control device however I have been in talks with the head of Sony and he said if this message is sent to 7 billion different people it will not happen!"

    lol cool, nah i didnt expect to work the way it claims, i just didnt know if it was a virus or something else. was a bit suspricious since it was sent to me by a punk id killed like 10 times in a row :)

    Got one recently, might have being the same as the one mentioned by the OP. Just deleted the thing.

    You gotta love the way some people believe them though.

    OP dont worry, just dont add to the spam/chainmail.

    Just gonna point out, distributing chain mail is against the PSN ToS. Report the fella who sent you it OP ;)
    Sony probably won;t do much about it, but if enough people start reporting, serious things might eventually start happening to the authors.

    Thanks for the feedback!

    I didnt believe it as i get enough chain mail in work to know whats what haha, i just didnt want to forward it or reply to them even in case a virus or something was linked to it, not sure if the PS3 is even capable of receiving a virus?
