I swam a few open water swims in my ocla wetsuit. Upto now, I've used body glide as an anti chafe on the neck were the wetsuit robs when you breathe.

Did a 2km swim yesterday and got a got bit of chafe on the neck. Looking at others ways to reduce the risk. What do you use, rash vests?

The most common anti-chafing product that people seem to use for wetsuits is Bodyglide (for example here). I'm sure there are other products out there that work well too, maybe try the place where you bought your suit. I'm not familiar with the range of products since I swim in togs, it just seems that most of the wetsuit people that I swim with use Bodyglide.

Apparently petroleum-based products (like Vaseline) are not recommended for use with wetsuits because petroleum will eat into neoprene over time.

I actually got one of those bodyglide products, its like a sort of roll on type thing, it can sort of break off very easily, so I won't be buying it again. didnt know that vasoline would break down wetsuit. You learn something everyday so...

I rub ky-jelly all over the suit collar and rub lots of it onto the back of my neck - works for me.
