Dunboyne rail services

    Has anyone an update on these services and will they start in September as planned

    It's possible: Last time I was on the train to Dublin I saw that the outbound line is connected from the Maynooth/Sligo mainline. It has been for some time I believe, with the inbound track being at the side ready to be cut in at an appropriate time.

    A similar sequence of events occured on the Midleton line. I should therefore expect the service to start fairly soon. Can't say for 100% sure that it will start in September, but it seems like a fair estimate.

    Perhaps someone more connected can give a better answer.

    I think one of those flyers that the local politicians drop in the letter box said that November is now the scheduled date for the opening of the line. The train stations at Hansfield and Dunboyne look ready to go when I drove near them the other week so hopefully no further slippage on dates.
