Looking for advice on insulation at floor joist level and ceiling.

I have 50mm flexislab insulation to put in the ceiling below the joists/osb air tight layer in a 50mm service cavity . I have been using a staple gun on the floor joists on the first floor but this has been hard on the eyes and skin.
Do anyone of the posters here know of tricks to work with insulation overhead and getting it neatly to stay in situ.

Also, I have been putting in 100mm termolan rocwool and it is terribly hard on the eyes with shedding rockwool fibres. Again if anyone has a knack here please pass this on.

P.S. I have been using masks, goggles, suits etc but the stuff still gets on to your eyes and skin
