Taking advantage of bookie sign up offers

A friend was mentioning that he was planning on taking advantage of the sign up offers offered by many online bookies.

Basically his plan is to sign up to a new site, back the football using whatever sign up bonus that particular site offers and lay the bet using betfair.

In theory it sounds like a fairly fullproof plan if he uses suitable bankroll management.

For starters bet365 offers a €200 signup bonus (I'm not familiar with the T&C) and he reckons there are about 100 or so similar sign up offers.

Has anybody done this and have any tips to share or warnings about items hidden in the T&C of certain sites?

For the signup bonus on bet365 you have to play through your bonus and deposit(I think) three times before you can withdraw any monet so theres a very good chance of losing money.

I think it works. I just put on bets I would have put on anyway and would normally be up over all so it acts as a buffer zone. Currently doing the bet365 offer and played through 800e, 400 left to go. I deposited 200e and up to 700e now including the 200e free.

    Invaluable site lads:

Basically runs through the whole concept. Make sure you fully understand the idea before you try it out.

Be careful of wording in the T&C's sometimes a free bet does not included the stake back. Say you qualify for a free £200 bet and have it on an evens winner you may only get £200 back instead of the expected £400.

Get one of your mates to become an affiliate so you and he get any extra bonus, its really simple.

I can only see a €200 bonus with bet365. Did you find a sign up code that gives a bigger bonus?

Would there be an issue with multiple people in a house sharing an internet connection and getting the same sign up bonus from each bookie?

You need to check the t&cs sometimes there is only one offer allowed per address.

I'm talking about the €200 bonus. When I said I had played through I meant I had placed 800e worth of bets out of the 1,200e required before I could withdraw the bonus funds.

u can also open accounts over the phone so that would rule out that problem.

You have to bet 6x your bonus amount? is it possible to keep that low risk up to the total bet amount required? do you use betfair to keep the risk to a minimum and what do you find are the best odds to exploit this offer?

So once the account is opened over the phone would it be ok to log in from an internet connection that cleared the bonus previously?

How much can be made from the sign up offers for someone who would bet exclusively on european soccer?

Unfortunately, the days of this being very lucrative are gone. Bookies have cut their sign up offers in line with the downturn.

That said, Cheltenham is traditionally the best time of the year for bookies increasing their offers and thats only a few weeks away.

So to answer your question you can still make a grand relatively easily. It's very easy to make mistakes though so keep your wits about you.

You need to be very careful about this. Bookies now frequently track ISP addresses and if they have any reason to suspect that multiple accounts are being operated from one address, they will not only close your account but withhold winnings.

I was fairly sure this was the case. I will just look up each bookie but lots of them only have ?20 deposit match bonuses.

Best thing to do is buy the Racing Post newspaper on the first day of Cheltenham. Should be an increase in offers then.
