Ipod car adaptor thingy

Can someone please help me find a adapter that allows you to hook up a ipod to the cigarette lighter of my car in order to play music on the car radio?

Try Argos, they busually have some cheap Belkin or similar in car transmittors. Plug in the Ipod, tune to a station on your radio and your good to go.

Argos have one I think for around e35. Belkin in-car iPod transmitter I think is the name. It autotunes the transmission to the best frequency and then you tune the car radio to that one. I got one for the same price in HMV about two weeks ago.

They're terrible TBH.
I've got a second hand Fusion head unit for sale.
You can dock the iPod inside it.
Much better solution.

as far as i know, they only sell the car chargers for the ipod, not the fm transmitters.

No, it's just an iPod charger.
You need an FM transmitter.
Something like this

They'll work but sound quality is terrible and you can't get the volume up too loud.
Your far better off with a head unit that can either dock an iPod or has a USB port.
You'll get one new for about 120 or 60 second hand.

Ive bought 3 of these in the last year one was an ITrip and Ill post up the name of the current one later but just wanted to let you know that they are both absolute crap!! The sound quality is terrible so be careful with these cheap ones

I got the tape one recently in the 2 euro shop and works perfectly. I had a transmitter before that and would not stay in tune.. I would recommend the 2 euro shop, if it doesnt work at least you have not lost much.

bought a belkin 30 jobbie there not so long ago, waste of money really, sound is really poor and inconsistent. Get a head unit with a direct plug in like yer mans ^^^^ ive had to revert to cd

That's pretty cool, I've been using a belkin fm tuner/charger for a while..but it's quite annoying...quality not as good as i'd like! and acting very unreliably lately....

Is there much involved in installing one of the fusion head sets?

I have one of these, find it brilliant.. it uses rds so currently playing song is displayed on your radio display!!

Quality is great as it constantly adjusts your radios frequency for clearest channel..

And id be fussy about my music!!!

Nope, they're just a normal car stereo.
You may need to buy an aftermarket wiring loom from Halfords to plug into
the car's wiring but chances are it'll plug straight in.
If you've got any problems fitting, PM me and I'll guide you through it.

I picked one up for €10 euro in HMV's sale recently and it's terrible. I've heard good things about the iTrip though. I take it some work better in rural/urban areas than others though?
