Ok looking for ideas. From all you loving people out there. I have the ring and I am looking for a novel way to ask. I have read the 50 top ways and the on the beach ect ect. So I have my ok but so great back plan but am hoping for luck. Can people suggest a way that fits with following situation please?

We are going to Spain in just under 3 weeks. I have the ring and after talking a lot and herself choosing the ring she knows its coming. She is not a person who would like it in front of a crowd. An idea will be great and of course final update on how it goes after holiday.

Many thanks J and wish me luck J

What part of Spain are you going? are you touring around or are you going to be near a beach, landmark, mountains?

Just carry the ring with you and when you happen to be in a really nice scenic, quiet location and it feels right, go for it. You could plan things to the last and get yourself in a twist but if you keep it a little unplanned, you'll probably do better. For example, we got engaged abroad and were just stopped at a beautiful spot on the way off a volcano and it just felt right. So, down I got on my knee pretending to take a photo but actually proposing. My wife was shocked even though she'd a fair idea it was coming.

Na I didn't, I just came across that when looking for rings, thought it might be handy.
I proposed on a gondola in Venice on Valentines day. I gave her her card and it said "fiancee" on it instead of "girlfriend". She said something like "that says fiancee" & then I said "well, you will be if you say yes". Then I gave her the ring.

If you do a search you'll find other threads & get some ideas.
    Here's one - http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055904860

If you're not sure how to search - over on the right side on the main forum page, up the top just under where it displays the amount of pages click on "Search this forum" and just type in what you're looking for.

if you are going somewhere the two of you have been before then try and take her to a place that means something to you... if you are going for the first time then i second RunForestRuns suggestion to just carry the ring with you.... it's very hard to surprise a lady so try not to stress as you may let the cat out of the bag!
