Questions during driving test

How many questions (excluding hand signal questions) are you asked during your driving test? And whats the grade system if you get any wrong?

Before you leave the center you're asked to identify various road signs. These are all mark 1's and I think you can get them all wrong and still pass. Maybe there's a limit but it's high and there generally fairly easy.

Outside the center you will be asked to identify various sections under the bonnet like water, coolant brake fluid etc... again more mark 1's but you should know these.

During the test you will be asked your hand signals, but throughout most of the test the tested will remain scarily quiet and tap away at hid pad. Don't let this distract you, I though he tapped way too much on mine and I passed with only 2 marks for simple mistakes.

Thanks. For some reason I thought they asked other questions along with this like "when is it safe to overtake in the left had lane" or "when should you use your hazard lights" ect. Has the theory test wiped out the need to ask these questions during the driving test?

I did my test 4 years ago but I don't remember any questions like that. But they arrange the driving route to see if you can do all these things practically. Not the hazards obviously. I think the theory test does handle all that side of the test.

I got asked (6 i think) questions on the ROTR and (8 I think) sign questions, in addition to underbonnet and in car controls questions and hand signals
If you get more than 2 of the ROTR questions wrong or 3 of the others (again Im not sure opf the exact figures) wrong its a grade 2.

during mine i was asked on rules re yellow jucntion box, and when could you pass on the left.

traffic signs, was asked to identfy 3 or 4 signs i think.

engine bay, point out 2 or 3 containers and how to check the oil

controls, identify 2 or 3

hand signals, 3 or 4

seat belt check

pre test all the above (bar juction box and under taking), tyre checks, and light checks
