Business invoice?

I have offered to do some work for a company related to my career, but it is a once off contract payment for approx 200 euro.

They have asked if I can provide a business invoice, does this require a vat number? I was planning on doing the work in my own time and as such I am not a registered business.

Can someone clarify this for me?

    Thanks.

    No

Just put your name and address, the customers details, the amount and a description of the work carried out on the invoice and you will be grand.
