Ok, this is a little bit of a rant but imo it is a real safety issue, especially at this time of the year. Took a ferry over the weekend which meant arriving at my destination late at night. As with others travelling, the car was loaded up at the back causing the front to rise (obviously) so I adjusted my lights downward. However, from what I could make out I was the only pleb to do this.

If you have a load in the back or are towing please adjust your lights accordingly. The trip off the boat was through a thick fog on unfamiliar roads making it tricky enough without being blinded by the car behind loaded to the gills. It was the same situation with cars coming against me for the return ferry. On one particular bad bend I thought I was a gonner as I was blinded by cars in both directions. If I had hit anyone it would no doubt have been a family on holidays or something - not nice to think about.

So people please just think a little...
