I urgently need a grind teacher / school for my lazy 15 year old. He goes to school in Colaiste Eoin, Dublin and has failed every subject but English. He is not stupid just purely lazy and has never drawn attention to himself in school as he is not disruptive in class and is well liked. I am desperate. He'll fail the j cert if he doesn't catch up on the work he didn't do in 2nd year. Greencella

    Sounds like me!

But seriously check out the sticky at the top of this page....ouch it'll cost an awful lot for grinds in every subject....I suggest you boot him up the rear end.

Grinds in 10 subjects? You'll have to mortgage the house....

Grinds are no good if he has no motivation. It'll just be like more school he'll just stare at the wall.

Give him a wallop, it's not up to you to have to finance grinds because he's a lazy so and so.

As said above, grinds will not benefit as he is not attentive in school the chances are he won't be attentive at grinds.

Grinds aren't a solution for laziness.

I give grinds in Irish and when my students don't do the work I ask them to do, I tell the parents that they're wasting their money.

You and your child need to work out a study plan.
