    Hi there,

Looking for advice for writing a graduate civil/structural engineering CV. Hoping to get work experience in Ireland/England and wondering what are the most important points which I should include in my CV?

What are the best selling points for an engineering graduate with little experience?

    Thanks in advance....

I might be stating the obvious but any experience is worth mentioning, generally exam results in individual subjects are important to mention (make it relevant to the company you are applying to eg. lead with concrete/steel design for design office job or project management/H&S for a site job). Also mention your thesis as this can pique the interest of relevant employers (although this will result with questions at interview stage so be very familiar with your own work). Unfortunately you are graduating at a bad time so competition is high but if you can afford it do some extra training such as the CIF Managing Safely in Construction course or one of the courses that Engineers Ireland offer. Every extra peice of training puts you that little bit ahead of the competition. Hope you have some luck out there.
