While waiting for my flight in Dublin airport last Friday I got a surprise when Chris Eubank strolled by... I approached him and had a quick word and could not have been more approachable. Eubank is still a great showman, I had to laugh as he strolled through the terminal all smiles and waves to anyone who acknowledged him.

Have had the pleasure of spending time in his company a number of times, and have to echo your comment on how approachable and friendly the man is.

The first time I chatted with him he was still a belt holder, but had no problem spending time chatting to a kid like me.

The next time I met him was at the club I was fighting out of, when he had moved up to cruiserweight and I got to spar with him for a few rounds. Again he was a total gent afterwards and was very generous with his time for anyone who wanted to chat with him.

Met him twice since then and he remembered my name each time and stopped for a good chinwag.

What he is very good for also, is going to ABCs and colleges etc and talking against drugs and the like.

Friendly and no air of bs about the man. One of the nicest big name boxers that I have gotten to spend a little time with. Have to say he is the polar opposite outside the ring to his one time rival, Nigel Benn.

Got to hand it to Eubank, he's a charmer, a prick, but a charmer.

i met Nigel Benn in France once he seemed nice enough but he's not really outgoing like Eubank is. The man had some handsake too.

fair play 2 u for having the balls to approach him.that man was my hero when i was a kid growing up.all my mates used to idolise benn but eubank was number 1 for me.he even bought a bum home 1 day and gave him a bath a new suit and a feed,he spotted him one morning while spinning around in 1 of his lorries.hell i think he ended up buying him a flat.i mean what other world class boxer or any star would do such a thing, this just shows what sort of person he is.a boxing legend.:)
