Hi, i am back, still having trouble :(:(

I have been told i need to replace the cistern emptier

You know the bit with the arm - the insert with the rubber seal has split and the toilet is filling contantly - does anyone have any idea where i would get one these in Dublin ? i was in the DIY chains just and they all told me they would have to order the part and it would take 6 - 8 weeks:eek:

i really need to get this fixed, as i am worried about the tank draining and getting an airlock in the system (it has happened before) :(:(

    thanks

    IB

My apologies... Here was the sent message.

Ring Doug Boucher 0861723734 tell him you need a carmina cistern pack. It must have the filler arm and the syphon

Tell him you were speaking to Ray in the pub, Dont tell him on boards as if he thinks you know me he might give it to you cheaper.

    His address is

    Plumb X / Vogue Bathrooms
    uNIT 7 Northwest bus park
    Ballycoolin
    Dublin 15

I was not to sure if we could give out openly this much info.

Can I ask you something here please??

Why is it,that when you say a company or a location publicly,it gets deleted by some mods, and you are warned and told to keep to a PM or you will get an infraction.

    But you say the opposite??

In the recent past, some of my posts were deleted or edited by a mod and I was warned to keep it to a PM.

I mean, what exactly are the rules on this forum for posting??

    Im confused.??

Any threads naming specific companies/traders will be deleted. Exceptions to this will be at the moderators' discretion.

I imagine this one explains it.

    That explains it really.

One person asked, where can they get X, a trusted member responded, you can get x here at y location. It's always better to share genuine helpful information with the community.

I don't see anything wrong with that. I would only delete something I thought may be a shill from the company themselves, this is not allowed.

If you are unsure of what to post, PM me and I can clarify the matter for you. :)

6-8 weeks me hole.Sorry but thats just scutter talk from the people who told you that.People who cant be bothered to help out.

I can help the OP out here and he or she can get part straight away.

Go out to Excel Industries in Coolmine Industrial Estate Blanchardstown and get the part off them. They are on the corner directly opposite Power City in Coolmine Industrial Estate.

They are a HUGE plumbing wholesalers and trade shop.Huge warehouse to be more precise

They will have the part in stock.

Bring those pics out with you or bring the broken part with you.

I have nothing to do with Excel, just a very happy customer of theirs.

P.S-Im only a member of the joe public, and they even gave me their trade catalogue, its 230 pages thick with gas, plumbing, kitchens, stove pipes etc etc.

You name it,they have it there.

Well Excell have dealt with me twice, and I am not in the trade, just a member of the public.Have dealt with both Colm and Robbie too.

I rang them to ask if I could pay them direct as I was in a hurry for the part, and they had the order docket and part waiting for me at the collections desk,by the time I arrived.

With regards the other place.....Is that the plumbers place ( CDV Plumbing Supplies) just opposite An Post in Coolmine Ind. Estate?

I was in there myself to get a washing machine outlet pipe and they are a helpfull bunch of people aswell.

Just on the off chance that Excel wont deal with you, just go and order/buy the part through the likes of Chadwicks or Heaton Buckleys and then you can go out and get the part off of Excel at the collection desk.

The very 1st time I used Excel,I had to do it that way.But I still got the part with in an hour of paying up in Chadwicks.

None of this carry on of "we cant get it for 6-8 weeks".

but have kept a note of the the two companies mentioned here and if i ever need any other plumbing supplies, i know where go :)

now all i need you lot to do for me is find me some cheap insulated 80mm plasterboard and some to install it :)

thanks everyone for your help and one day i will manage to post a thread in here which doesnt end up in controversy :-)
