    hello.

i recently was made redundant and am claiming jobseekers benefit.

i am in the process of setting up my own ltd company. i have two small customers. my question is can i earn a certain amount in my new company and continue to claim jobseekers? if so, what is the ceiling to what i can earn?

    thanks,
    stoffa.

Speak to your Local Social welfare office about the "BAck to work Enterprise Scheme" depending on how long you have been claiming benefits you might be entitled to apply to the scheme.

Basically, you will need to jump through a few hoops, form filling, get a business plan etc but it's worth it just to know that as you start out there is still a little something coming in each week.

There is no limit as to how much you can earn while on this scheme.

Also if you require machinery or PL insurance there maybe a grant available up to 1,000 euro towards the cost.

    hope this helps

Also worth getting in touch with your local enterprise board. they usually have oodles of information about these situations
