    Guys,

I just got a UPC triple play with the box to record, pause etc, but there is a dish outside with the wiring coming to the living room...

What could I do with it? I'm confused with all FTA, Freesat box etc etc and haven't a clue. Would I be able to get free to air channels?
Is the Sky dish big enough to receive those? Is it pointed in the right direction or would I have to shift it?

Sky and freesat can use same dish pointed in same direction.

You can get a freesat HD box (with or without recording) and hook it up.

If you have two cables coming from dish that's even better as you can then watch one / record one.

    Listof channels at freesat.co.uk

Hi wimmy. I am not familiar with your satellite box but if you connect the cable from the dish to your box you should receive all the free to air stuff from astra 28 east. Those dishes are usuall well set and I would not think that you would need to adjust it. However, the proof is in the pie as they say so what have you to lose. You have a free dish. Good luck.

He cant use it with his UPC box he will need to buy a freesat or FTA box.

the sister site to this one has a forum for dselling sat stuff.

I wouldnt recommend Sky for free to air only as the channels all come in an order you cant edit.
