Im using that card with the ls9 to send all 16 channels to a profire 2626. To do this I have to use all 16 aux sends on the board to send audio to the slot with the adat card.

This leaves me with no room for fx or sending to monitors, anybody know any way of solving this so I can still use effects and monitors?

why arent you just using the outs to send to the profire? the ls has 8/16 (depending on model) outs at the rear if i remember correctly?

it only has 8 omni outs...2 of which im using for L/R Foh

so use the 6 outs and then adat leaving you with 6 free auxes. not ideal but your only solution unless you get a bigger board?

im using all 16 channels tho..like all the aux buses would be taken up from sends from each channel

bigger board then.. unless you can sub mix into groups? i know theres no actual visible group faders on the desk but some digital desks can do internal sub mixing.

You should be able to patch the channel direct outs to the slot, which would free up all your auxes again. I've never done it, but I don't see why it wouldn't work...

I think this is true, patch Ch1-16 to the 16 ADAT outputs which should let you keep the desk's own Omni Outputs (1-6 then L/R) for whatever you need.

Never got around to trying this but there's so much in the LS9 that I would think it should be possible, just requires some brain work...FWIW I don't like a mixing desk that is clevererererer than I....viva analogue....rabble rabble

Cool, i'll have a gander round the desk next time so, I never have enough time with it really, it has another lover, a smarter one

ahaaa looked at manual, got it sorted, have to go to output select, go into slots, and assign direct outs to them, manuals come in handy afterall!

I have to give the digi a lot of credit for convenience though. I do some work in a club that doesn't do live music every night, but everything runs though the installed LS9. I set one of the user-defined keys to recall a "DJ" scene and stuck a label next to it. It's saved me some amount of late-night phone calls from confused/hysterical DJs, bar staff etc...

    Glad you got sorted.
