Finally did it...

...and got 69/69 stars in Special Ops Just got High Explosives done on veteran on single player after God knows how many tries :rolleyes: It's definitely by far the hardest Spec Op mission, Snatch and grab comes a close second. It also means I've got the full 1000g for MW2 Time for a beer now I think.

Always wanted 69 starts but gave up after failing snatch and grab100+ times! Still had all of the last set to do as well

Well done tbh, thought that level wasn't too bad in a way. All I did was get the Barrett and Intervention at the beginning, wait for the first Juggernaut in the room and kill him. Then in the area where you 'breach' to save the hostages in the single player there's a little bit of scaffolding with a ladder up to it, climb up there and wait. After every Juggernaut kill, run up to the gate/fence and plant a claymore and run back to the scaffolding and repeat.

Flashbang. Grenade launcher. Run/Sprint. Repeat

After killing the first and second guys they all come together in groups of 2-3. When this happens just keep running/sprinting around the outermost alleyway, they'll always follow you so each Grenade Launcher explosion will hit the 2-3 of them. Also the hit the buildings with the Grenade Launcher, don't directly at the Juggernauts. Don't bother with too much claymores, otherwise if you end up back-tracking over unexploded ones they'll be shot and you'll blow up I think I only used two claymores for it, didn't use any C4, frag grenades or the RPG. Just Grenade Launcher and Flashbangs all the way.

And keep an eye on the map.

Looking back that's probably the one that caused the most stress. I'd always get to the laptop and then die. So... after killing everybody and before getting the laptop, I'd go to the top of the aeroplane and pick off everybody first, run back back get the laptop, jump off the plane before the Juggernaut arrives and then the flashbang the shít of everywhere and run like Forrest

There are no Juggernauts in Wetwork. You're thinking of Armor Piercing



I'm stuck on 66 stars myself. Cannot get past wetwork at all. Get caught everytime in the last hostage room, either shoot a hostage or shoot the C4

To be fair, I didn't do terminal the legit way. I did the speed run method

It works best in single player spec op.

For Snatch and grab the best advice I could give is once you get to the intel by the broken plane part where you drop down, don't grab the intel straight away but go up to the edge of the plane and take out the opposition there and once clear, grab the intel and run while keeping to the right of the map. Once you grab the intel, new enemies will spawn but the tidying up you did beforehand will help you.


With the AC-130 mission its all about teamwork. You need constant communication. The man on the ground should be laser designating lots and the man in the AC should be constantly looking for targets and making sure to shoot down the helicopters before they drop off troops

Terminal one is very handy acutally...all about strategy

What I did was take out the first group on the ground floor and the second that comes down from upstairs.
After that, bait the rest down the escalators and stand at the left hand side at the bottom and take them out as the come down. Use flashes and put down some claymores when you're leading them down i.e. after you set off each wave of them..
You have a much better angle on them from the bottom of the escalator, as long as you break all the glass in the handrails etc. Most of them take their time coming down with shields and you can just shoot them with no hassle as they are coming down perpendicular to you.
If you miss or become overwhelmed, grab a shield and back in to the alcove to the left of the escalator and they can only come at you 1 by 1, although the other way is much easier IMO.

I think I did High Explosives 50+ times on my own and failed every single time. Just thought fuck this ****. I really was a furious wreck :pac:

2 weeks later I tried it on my own, and what you know 1st go I completed it.I didn't know whether to scream for joy or a have a little weep :pac: :pac:

Haha oh yea so I am :rolleyes: Shooting the hostages or blowing up the explosives kept happening to me too.
