In Mayo for weekend and got a scratch the length of the car from a branch on my silver golf. Pretty p****d off. What's the best way to deal with it? Didnt go fully through the paint but has left a noticeable white mark. Any ideas appreciated... Thanks

Find a good compound a try that first

if it was a branch then chances are it might just polish out, quick check is to run your thumbnail over the scratch if it catches in it, its probably too deep to polish.
if it does not then a polish with a cutting compound in it will help.
either an electric polisher or you could do it by hand, plenty of water with the compound should take it out or at least take the scratch down.
    worth a try..........

Make sure the white mark won't come off with some cif and warm water! Happened to me, reversed around a wall and thought the paint had scratched off but it just happened to be some paint off the wall. Phew:rolleyes:

Get a chainsaw, cut it off, chop it up and burn it. It won't scratch your car again.
