Advice on new TV

    Hey guys

Hoping for some opinions on a new TV. I'm looking to get a > 46in TV, I dont mind whether its LCD or Plasma. I'm currently using a Panasonic PV80 and have had no complaints with it but I'm looking for something 1080P.

Budget is defo no more than €2k, but the cheaper the better to be honest.

My viewing is probably roughly broken down as 40% gaming (xbox 360 & PS3) ; 30% sport ; 20% Sky HD (documentaries etc) ; 10% Blu ray / dvd's. So not too much SD content so thats one thing I'm not particularly worried about.

I'd like something with outstanding picture quality with the above programmes in mind.

Any advice or opinions is greatly appreciated!

The Panasonic V20 would be difficult to overlook. Look at the VT20 also, the 3D model. You may or may not be into 3D, but people are buying that TV because of it's excellent 2D picture.

Getting a 50" VT20 myself at the weekend, even forgetting about 3D - the 2D picture is incredible. Might be worth considering, but it would be about another 500 on top of your budget.
