    The advice people usually give on here is go along to all the clubs you can find and stick with the one you like best.

    I believe this club is very active in Castlebar.

    Jarlath Cunningham in Castlebar knows every MA club in the area, you could contact him at jarlathgodan@yahoo.com to get advice from a local.

    Moy Valley Freestyle is a freestyle martial arts club that trains in kickboxing, san shou, muay thai, karate and grappling. We train people to compete and also for fitness. We do not have a full time facility(as of yet).

    Monday: Crossmolina Town Hall- Karate 7 til 8, Kickboxing 8-9

    Tuesday: Mount Falcon Hotel- Time 7 til 8

    Thursday: Ballina Leisure Centre- 7 til 9

    Saterday: We usually train in lacken beside the gaa pitch around 12 but this can be cancelled if we are away competing.

    There is a new Martial Arts Centre in the McHale Road Business Park, Castlebar.

    Contact Martin O'Malley.

    I believe there are a few different Martial Arts to choose from, Karate (Shorin Ryu), Kickboxing, Korean sword etc. etc.
