Golf bets - deja vu!

I backed Dustin Johnson (25 e/w @40/1) for the US Open last week, and you all know what happened - sitting on a 3 shot lead going into Sunday, I was busy spending my 1,300 winnings in my head, and poor auld Dustin collapsed and didn't even get placed in the end.

Fast forward a week and I backed Bradley Dredge (10 e/w @80/1) for the BMW, and guess what - he has a 3 shot lead going into the final round. I don't know who's more nervous this morning - me or him!

I also backed Bo Van Pelt for the Travellers, but at least he had the decency to stay way out of contention and not be teasing me!

Is anyone else facing a nervous Sunday afternoon/evening after backing Dredge or Rose?

In past I have had some fantastic winners at big prices (Micheal Campbell and Zach Johnson both at 175/1 before the US open and Masters respectively few years back) but last year and this year I seem to find a lot my players I back are doing well and collaspe on the Saturday or Sunday.

Also if I ever have player maybe just outside the top ten going into sunday I never have had player shoot good round and maybe win or even place they always just do worse on the Sunday. So unless my player is in top 5 and within 2 shots of leader I give up hope of least winning.

But in fairness Golf has won me few pound in past just hope it comes back again.

I laid a bit off alright this morning but he was trading around Evs so to green-up completely would have halved my potential return, I'd rather let it run at that price. Laid a bit more off at 1.4 after his good start and Fisher's bad one.

FFS, I'm gonna start up a business where professional golfers pay me not to back them!

I genuinely felt guilty when I read that. Bo, if you're reading this PM me and we can make an agreement where I never back you again, for a percentage of future earnings!
