sole trader needs advice

I am a sole trader 2 years in the Catering area,I have a small business so mostly I can do myself. My hubby drives the van and helps with carrying heavy goods. He is on invalidity pension, due to poor health. I had his initials put on the name of business. The reason I did this is that I am a blow in and the community and surrounding people know him.
Last week my hubby got stopped by a check point and the benefit crowd were there asking questions. They wanted to know was he on benefit and why his initial was on the name also.My hubby said its only a name.My accountant had stated before that provided he doesn't take a salary that it is fine to help.I don't even drew a salary yet as I constantly have to invest in more equipment.I have been totally above board, even to the point that I contacted the household subsidy and had to, in the 2 years send in yearly statement.I am worried that they will try to take his pension.Any advise would be great

I can see why they think it's suspicious. Could you call it rehabilitative work as it's only a few hours a week and ask them to class it as that.
