Legal Advice- are standards slipping?

I remeber the days, albeit many moons ago, when I regularly used to get reprimanded by the mods for providing even a sniff of what might have been in some obscure way regarded as legal advice. Recently however, it seems that virtually every thread on this forum seems to be flagrantly and explicitly seeking legal advice.

Are mods standards slipping? Or has there been a definitive shift in policy? Mods I think the time has come to explain yourselves.

While this is not legal advice.....see a solicitor.

Slight shift in policy, yes. Explain ourselves, no.

There has been no modifications to the charter, etc. You might notice that the volume of posts has increased, which requires more time.
