Pies or rolls?

Having lived in the Scotland for the last 8 months, I've noticed that there was a severe lack of deli's there (the only one I found was called Dublin Dave's Deli and had a tricolour outside it!). Instead there were bakeries and pie shops everywhere. So I was wondering, would ye prefer to keep our deli's with its rolls, sandwiches and panini's or would ye prefer bakeries instead of them?

Personally, I really missed on aul hot chicken roll over there so I'd prefer to keep the deli's

And the stuff in pies isn't?

Rolls are better than pies and pastries, get to put anything you want in them even if half the cheese does fall out.

Pies need a fork and they're too hot to hold with one had so you need a table.

Pies. We need to take leaves out of Oz & Nz's books and have them sold everywhere. Steak & cheese ftw. And none of this artisan €8 nonsense either.

What I do is sometimes get a tin of soup, heat it up, poach an egg in it, serve that with a pork pie sausage roll.

I can buy a pie in a deli.

I can buy a pie in a deli.

But you can't necessarily buy a filled roll in a bakery

Too dry for me. Like a bit of meat and gravy so I do. With some ketchup injected for good measure.

I like pies but they feel worse for you, all that greasy pastry and god knows what in them.
    So I eat breakfast rolls.

    Woo!! Well Done!!!
Garth is the most significant artist that I’ve ever worked with, and I’ve worked with Lulu and four other people. So we’re talking crème de la crème.

No worries. I was thinking if it was in Glasgow, Ayrshire or Lanarkshire The tricolour would not have lasted 2 mins. Used to drink in Quinns in Aberdeen the odd time. Talking 15 years ago so god knows if its still there.

    And pies:)

People who eat Chicken fillet rolls, what do you have in them?

I've seen people filling them up with mayo. Cold mayo on hot chicken doesn't sound too good.

I like a pie every now and again, but if I had to choose it would be for the rolls.

Firstly, mayo/ketchup on the roll (which has been buttered). Loads of lettuce then. A smidgen of chopped red onion, hot chicken and top it off with cheese which will melt into it.

    DELISH
