    hey all.

My self and my girlfriend are looking to get away for a cheap and cheerful sun holiday next week. we've decided to leave it to last minute and just book somewhere cheap. I've just been looking at gohop and have a half decent place in turkey for 275 each for a week from shannon. we're living in kerry so flying from dublin is a last option. does anyone know anything about KUSADASI in Turkey? we are in our early 20's so would be looking for something kinda lively, and nice weather as well is an absolute must! is this place nice?

can anyone recommend any other good websites for booking cheap and last minute or any other ways we could go about it? we don't have much of a budget, our max is 400 /person for the week.

    thanks

Kusadasi might be a little quite but gumbet is only up the road from it which is where all the night life is

Just booked a holiday to Kusadasi with my BF. This will be our 4th summer there. We just love it. Great weather, food, shopping.... The nightlife is great. Bar street full of bars that are open all night! Definitely not quiet!!:D

    We booked with sunway.ie

A good last minute holiday website is www.latedeals.ie

Kusadasi has a good mix or bars and big beach "ladies beach"

Was in Kusadasi 2 years ago, and as it happens just booked another trip there last night. Got 2 weeks from 10th to 24th July for €490 each - on www.sunway.ie We're flying from Dub but you could go from Cork also.

Couldn't recommend Kusadasi highly enough from the food to weather to the night life (I'm sure foxirl meant to say 'Kusadasi might be a little quite brilliant'!)

    Hey,

I myself am looking at going to Kusadasi for a week as it is cheap and cheerful..I have had friends who went to Kusadasi before and they said they would highly recommend it...

I would say its quite busy, lots of pubs and restaurants with Turks standing outside bugging ya every time you pass. This isn't as bad as it sounds, just smile and say no in a firm but pleasant way...

Anyone recommendation on hotels? I am looking at the Sea Pearl or the Palmin Sunset plaza (which are sister hotels)...I'm leaning on the Pearl myself...

    Advice welcome

Just booked the Seapearl for me and my BF. Went on trip advisor and there were loads of negative comments about the Palmin Sunset Plaza. Very few on the Sea Pearl. :)

You could give a look on holidaysonline.ie..I've got a few cheap hols from there..Leave it until the Thurs before you want to go as the cost usually drop to lowest on Thurs/Fri for going on Sat/Sun...

    .

I've stayed in the Sunset Palmin Plaza - couldn't fault it. Staying in the Sea Pearl this time just to make a change!

If by "just up the road" you mean 4 hours, then yes, Gumbet is just up the road from Kusadasi. I think maybe you're getting Bitez and Kusadasi confused.

Kusadasi is great - loads of bars/restaurants and loads of stuff to do during the day. Try Ephasus - it sounds boring, but its fascinating when you get there!

Couldnt agree more - just make sure you bring water because there is very little shade and it takes a while to see the whole place.

Teletext Holidays is the way to go for last minute jobs! Select your departure airport as Ireland (South) and have a look. I got a week in Tenerife 3star last march for £180 pp

    Hi clikityclak,

I am holding off until last minute now as well. I'm really at a loss as to whether to go to Kusadasi or Bitez.

I must say the Palmin Plaza and the Sea pearl in Kusadasi seem really nice hotels. I am just wondering if Kusadasi will be too MAD??!! I mean we are both 22 and 23 and are far from boring but I wouldnt like drunken louts everywhere...

Can anyone give their opinions of Kusadai from a young couples point of view??

I'm in the young couple category! Can't rate Kusadasi highly enough! Bar street is where all the night life is but we had 2 or 3 quiet nights when we didn't go to Bar street and stayed in a quiet bar/restaurant.

    Bitez is so much quieter.

the reality is exactly the opposite on this. gumbet is quiet and kusadasi is where the night life is

    hi guys,

Myself and the boyf were in kus at the begining of June just gone. Stayed in the sea pearl hotel. We LOVED it.:D

Hotel is great - very clean - food really good(not breakie tho) - close walk to ladies beach(where there is an abundance of restaurants)

The local bus (Dolmus) stops outside hotel every 10 minutes and its 1E to get into the town(not far away at all)

We went to Bar street one night with another couple we met - its wild down there!! great crack:)

http://www.kusadasi.biz GREAT website for everything you need to know - forums are great.

    Cant wait to go back!!

Has anyone got any recommendations of the Seaview suites in Kusadasi which are being offered by Falcon holidays?

Looks like this is the only place that I like the look of for around 400 euro per person. I would love the sea pearl or the palmin but its not available for that price...

Reviews on the above would be grateful though!!
