    Good story Mick. Have to say they are not hugely dissimilar... well Victor needs the blonde highlights and the accent but other than that they are twins..

    Somebody has updated Victor Garber's wiki page.. to reflect RTE's mistake.. lol

    In June 2010, due to an RTÉ production error, a picture of Victor Garber was accidentally used in an opinion poll on RTÉ News. The production team mistook the actor as Enda Kenny, the leader of Fine Gael, the main opposition party in Ireland[6]. The mistake was understandable as both men look extremely similar. RTÉ immediatly apologized to both men for the mistake. Garber has not yet commented.

    This is the picture they used.. To be fair he does look very similar to Enda Kenny. It must have been Garber's mother that noticed RTE's mistake.

    Well the only thing I dont understand is how they came across this picture if they were looking for a picture of Kenny .... They must have googled for an image, but how would Victor Garber come up under a search for Enda Kenny? Unless somebody pointed out the resemblance on another forum and this came up for the search?

    aha I found the junior researcher's error.. Whilst googling an image for d'RTE news, they did a google image search for "Enda Kenny".. You will find the fifth picture links to

    which is where somebody on politics.ie made the initial mistake.. .. I can sleep now that I understand what went wrong.. ;-)

    Yeah someone on the forum on that site was saying that they should just get "that guy" instead of Kenny.
