    2.0 TFSI GOLF GTI,

Went about changing the PCV valve and checking the cam follower today. Changed the pcv to the new part, seemed foolproof just swapped them over.

Went about checking the follower behind the fuel pump. Released the pressure from the pump and disconnected both connectors. Then realised I didnt have a 17 spanner so put the connecters back on and closed up the engine bay.

Car stalled just when i was going to boost in second. Opened everything up again and had a look, seemed fine. Car still stalled. got 2 new pcv valves in the box so tried the second one. Car was perfect for about 10 mins, full boost ect thought it was fine. Then started to cut a bit in 4th/5th and got worse where the car would cut everytime the turbo was about to kick in. Check engine light was on.

Few things I could have done wrong, when I was releasing the cable ontop of the fuel pump the screw driver slipped and gave the connector a whack. Looks fine though. Didnt prime the fuel pump (forgot stupidly) and just started it up after having released the pressure.

I removed the MAF completely from the air intake by removing the torx screws. Should have probably just unclipped it. Still cant see how it would contribute.

I tried putting back the old pcv no joy.

Check engine light has now gone out but everytime Im about to get boost it just cuts completely.

Any ideas? Right disaster this is.

    Thanks

    lol
    Glad you got it sorted.

Or should I say you should check that sensor you whacked with a screw driver. They are weak links and probably went because the exact symptoms of it are what you have and I rock and know everything :D:D:D:D:D:p

Sorry I should have posted back sooner! I was 100% certain I checked the connection but obviously it never clicked on properly. I suppose it should have been obvious that it had to have been down to me. The vagcom code pointing to the sensor made it all too much of a coincidence so I had a look again and the connection just slid off.

Did about 300km of good hard driving yesterday no more lights and drives perfect.

Nothing to do with the car just my stupidity! The engine cut the fueling when it got no reading from the sensor giving the stalls and fuel cuts. So don't let it put anyone off the car/engine.
